Please don't think you have to be old. What about accidents and crimes? I have just been told I have secondary cancer so must ensure my two 4 year old cats will be cared for in a manner that I request. This is a super idea and takes a lot of stress away.

I am thinking of placing my trust iinto the rspca and putting an approprate piece in my will, but I was thinking that although I would like to leave some to rspca, I would also like some money to be given to the family who take them on so they get a monthly amount to cover vets fees etc.
I wonder if that is possible.

i think this is a marvelous idea but worry if my cat will end up in an apartment without a garden.I found her outside in the street six years ago a tiny kitten she was crying so loudly i brought her in. Workmen digging the road outside said she had been in the street for four days and they had been feeding her scraps. i checked thourougly to see if she was lost but was informed she was less than three monts old an had not been tagged and after a period of no one claiming her i was allowed to keep her.My concern is thru the trauma she experienced whilst young she can snap out at you and gets very nervous around any loud noise or boisterious children Do the rspca take the factors of worried owners concerns about their animal into consideration. Further to my comments my cat also does not get on with other cats. But she is very caring and very spoilt.

I liked it very much. Both myself and my husband are "getting on" and our cat Figgi is quite young. We rescued him as a tiny starving kitten at a stables near us - he is a big ginger cat, very loving until he gets to know you and then he just runs behind the sofa! We have always had cats, usually rescued, and dogs. And miss them all!!!

Brilliant idea, it is such a relief to know that my pets can continue having a long and happy life if I pass on before them! It has been on my mind especially being single and living alone.

I was really touched watching the Home for Life video. Molly, the little cat pawing at the window of her dead owner's house. I had tears in my eyes. It is so reassuring to know that the RSPCA will take care of registered pets. I do hope that people will read about your good work and save themselves and their pets the worry of what will happen in the event of their owner's passing. Of course it is imperative that everyone notifies their solicitor of the owner's wishes, ensuring this vital information is written in the will.

God Bless the RSPCA and may more people come to understand the importance of this great institution.
